Professional experience

Anca started her career as a political journalist even before graduating from the University of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences. Soon after entering the political arena, she started to work at the Romanian Senate in the Commission of Labour, becoming an expert in drafting various policies, standards, procedures and laws. During the following four years, Anca focused on developing her skills and knowledge within the central administration, working in a diverse range of roles in the Romanian Parliament.

From July 2015, Anca then worked at the European Parliament for 2 years as a strategy advisor to MEP Emilian Pavel (S&D), before returning to Bucharest as an advisor to the Minister of Public Consultation and Social Dialogue, where her main responsibility was to coordinate the cooperation of the Government with companies, unions, federations and NGOs and develop mechanisms in order to ensure the transparency of the Government in elaborating regulatory frameworks.

Anca moved to the private sector in early 2018 as Senior Public Affairs Manager for FREE NOW (the European mobility platform owned by a Daimler-BMW joint-venture), coordinating public affairs at a regional level. Among Anca's most notable recent achievements are the coordination of the drafting and successful advocating of the first regulatory framework for the ride-hailing industry in Romania, as well as contributing to EU-level digitalisation regulation.
