Responsibilities at Aretera
Daniyar is responsible for analysis of the regulatory environment and stakeholder engagement in the Central Asia and Southern Caucasus regions. He specializes in advising clients in the financial and transportation sectors, FMCG, and IT on the regulatory trends and issues that impact on doing business.
Professional experience
Prior to joining Aretera in 2022, Daniyar worked in Kesarev Public Affairs Consultancy from June 2019. Before that Daniyar worked in government relations and regulatory engagement for major international companies operating in telecoms and FMCG, gaining 9 valuable years of experience in these highly-regulated industries.
Before becoming a government-relations professional, Daniyar provided legal advice for corporate clients for 13 years, working in the largest Central Asian law firm.
Background
Daniyar holds a Master of Law from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He also attained a post-graduate degree in Economics from the Almaty University of Continuous Education.
In addition, Daniyar has completed professional internships in US-based law firms, lobbying workshops and trainings in the UK, Germany and Portugal.
