Iulia Bidică
Senior Advisor, Romania
Iulia is a seasoned public affairs and digital policy professional with significant experience gained from Romania’s government institutions and the private sector. As Senior Advisor, she is focused on strategic and operational issues linked to the digital transformation and fostering dialogue between public authorities and the tech industry. She is also a member of AmCham Romania where she represents Aretera in the organization’s Corporate Governance, Digital Economy, Energy, Health and Trade Legislation committees.

Prior to joining Aretera, Iulia held key positions in the Romanian public sector, most notably as Chief of Staff to the President of the ICT Committee of the Chamber of Deputies (lower house of parliament) and at the Authority for the Digitalization of Romania (ADR). In these roles, she played an instrumental role in developing and implementing major legislative reforms and digital infrastructure projects, while also coordinating high-level stakeholder engagement and policy alignment efforts. Notably, she was also a member of the Romanian Government’s working group supporting the Republic of Moldova in aligning its legislation with EU standards.

In addition to her policy and legislative work, as well as her experience with sectors such as technology, healthcare/pharma, energy and sustainability, Iulia is a skilled project manager, having led large-scale international forums with global participation, including those in the global telecommunications industry. Following the completion of specialized trainings in diplomacy and tech policy, as well as obtaining a degree in Law, Iulia is currently pursuing an MBA to further enhance her strategic and managerial expertise. Besides her native Romanian, Iulia is fluent in English and Spanish.
