Nurilla Abdushukurov

Nurilla is a public affairs and international development consultant with deep expertise in navigating Central Asia’s evolving political, regulatory and business landscapes. With over seven years of experience advising governments, international organizations and private-sector clients, he brings hands-on knowledge of what it takes to succeed in one of the world’s most dynamic emerging markets.

Before joining Aretera, Nurilla worked with the USAID-funded Trade Central Asia Activity, where he led initiatives on trade facilitation, export promotion, WTO accession and private sector engagement. His work helped modernize Uzbekistan’s cross-border procedures and align the country’s trade policies with international standards, facilitating over $40 million in export contracts through targeted B2B matchmaking, consultancy support and participation in international trade exhibitions. He has also served as a consultant to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), where he played a key role in facilitating high-level missions and government engagement, while contributing to policy research and recommendations on investment promotion, business climate reform and regional competitiveness across Central Asia.
