Professional experienceOver the past ten years, Romena has been providing public affairs counsel to multinational corporations from the finance, ITC, transport, energy, education and health sectors, consulting major international companies such as Meridiam, BP, UPS, International Personal Finance and WU Executive Academy. She has extensive experience in public policy, crisis management, intelligence gathering, market, trends and competition reviews, and regulatory impact assessment. Romena has in-depth knowledge of platform regulation, digitalization, consumer protection and competition policy, having advised Facebook, Apple and Uber, while working closely with industry and consumer associations. Her consultancy work for Mastercard and other companies in the finance sector makes her particularly knowledgeable of the key issues relevant to payment schemes at EU, regional and local levels.
