Sitare is an international relations and public policy professional based in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Responsibilities at Aretera:

• monitoring & analysis of draft legislation and policy initiatives,
• advising & assisting clients in relation with national and regional authorities,
• identifying and assessing regulatory and political risks and their impact on business,
• drafting analytical papers, memos, overviews and reports.

Professional experience
After starting her career in journalism at Cumhuriyet, an Istanbul-based daily newspaper, she gained international experience at companies such as Philips in Amsterdam and NMQ Digital in Istanbul. Between 2020 and 2022, she also supported a NATO project on security and strategy-building in Türkiye as a project assistant and other scientific projects regarding Turkish Foreign Policy, European Studies and Politics funded by EU and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye.

Background
Sitare holds a Bachelor degree in European Studies and Law from the Istanbul Bilgi University, a Master Degree in International Relations from the Kadir Has University, and is currently pursuing her PhD studies at the Koc University in Istanbul, also in International Relations.
